I can't stop writing songs. I go through these periods where I'm working on multiple new tracks in various stages of production, and I recently realized I had an obscene number of pending tracks in various stages of completion.
Now, most of these songs are fresh originals, but a number of them were originally recorded as Applesauce Project songs (my Beatles pastiche project), but since I've decided to scale that project back, a number of my favorite ASP tunes are getting completely reworked to become Cupcake Parade songs -- a number of which I've released on iComp, MacJams, and/or Soundcloud.
But for the most part, I have a bunch of new tunes in various stages of composition, recording, and mixing. I thought it might be both fun and motivational to list what I've got in the pipeline and the songs that I'm listening to for arrangement inspiration for each of those compositions. I figured I would revisit this post as songs move from one stage of completion to another, and also maybe get feedback from y'all to see what people are interested in.
