Hello! 

 

My name is Micheal Wark. Here I go by the moniker WYNDSOK. My friends just call me Mike. 

 

One day, back in 2005, a friend introduced me to his Mac computer and to Garage Band. I immediately saw the potential, and went out and bought a Mac, a couple of electric guitars, an electric bass, and some cheap keyboards to use as an interface for piano, organ, and synth. Not long after I upgraded to Logic. Been recording fairly steadily ever since. 

 

I began posting at Macjams.com circa mid-2005. I began posting at iCompositions.com not long after. It was too much trying to be active on both sites (while working at both a full time AND a part time job), so I pulled back from iComp. 

 

In 2011 my old Mac G-5 crashed and burned, and for nearly six years I stopped writing and recording. Then, on August 1st of 2017, I retired from my full time job, and bought a new Mac. Since then I've written and recorded many new tunes, and remixed and remastered most of my older tunes. 

 

My main musical influences are classic-rock, folk, folk-rock, and progressive-rock. I love the blues, classic soul, and RnB, but can't play any of them to save my life! 

NOT a fan of Rap, Metal (with some few exceptions), Hip Hop, and most "electronica." 
Hey, I'm old!

 

Sadly both Macjams and iComp are now history, so I am henceforth devoting myself to this fine fledgling community.

 

I hope many of you will share in my musical adventures. I have every intention of sharing in yours! 

 

 

So while I am retaining WYNDSOK as my user name on this site, my CDs will be issued under the name KARMIC WHALE. It’s an anagram of my name (Micheal Wark); and it may sound just dumb enough that no unscrupulous individuals will want to steal it. Besides, it’s a name I’ve used in the past and can easily document.
