Song information
We had a lot of fun with this one. We kept the laughs in the recording too.

As a woman, I often find myself judged as the weaker sex, people assume I don’t have the stamina or strength to handle tough situations, whether at work or in everyday life. Sure, chivalry has its place, but I get a real sense of joy proving otherwise. Despite my age, I’ve shown time and again especially through the demanding hikes and bushwalks I do almost every weekend - that I can match or even surpass many men in stamina. Earning their respect feels great, though it really shouldn't have to be a battle in the first place.

The song is about a woman (me) who walks her own path!!

The tone in this song is done with a Nashville feel that the three of us love!

Lyrics
Verse 1
Boots are dusty, legs are sore,
But I still climb, I ask for more.
The air gets thin, my heart beats loud,
This is where I feel most proud.

Chorus
I sit alone, above it all,
The valley deep, the sky so tall.
No one here to see me rise,
But I’ve already claimed the prize.

Verse 2
Men passed me with a doubtful grin,
But they don’t know the fire within.
I kept my pace, I held my line,
Their limits never did define.

Chorus
I sit alone, above it all,
The valley deep, the sky so tall.
No one here to see me rise,
But I’ve already claimed the prize.

Instrumental

Verse 3
No crowds, no cheers, no flashing lights
Just golden peaks in fading night.
I don’t walk to prove a thing!
I walk to hear the mountains sing.

Instrumental

Chorus
I sit alone, above it all,
The wind my friend, the world's so small.
The view’s enough, the silence sweet,
And this is where my soul feels complete.

Definite Nashville vibe.  Great song with great instrumentation.   I was reminded, in a strange way, of The Dukes Of Hazzard theme.  The vocals, of course, are fantastic.  I think you sound a bit like Sheryl Crow and Dolly Parton.

@Venturesome I worked very hard to get the Dolly Parton sound in my vocals, I was in a Dolly Parton cover band in New Zealand a few years ago. Dukes of Hazzard... I loved that show :)
