I was on MacJams a LONG time ago and that's really where my songwriting and production started from my childhood bedroom desk.  It's been quite a journey since then.  It seems I missed the IComposition days, but I see some of the same names that I used to see in MacJams so I am hopeful this is a similar online community.  I went to college and kept writing songs while I got a degree in Psychology.  I moved to Miami and then worked for the TN Lottery for a year.  Finally, I jumped ship and taught kitesurfing in Outer Banks, NC and got my first ever solo acoustic gigs.  I then drove to LA and lived in my car and did open mics and gigs wherever I could get them and hosted my own open mic.  I then bought a van and drove around the country and Mexico playing music for three months.  Now I'm married and live in Charleston, SC where I have a nice garage studio and perform music full time locally and some regionally.  I am hopeful this community will be a good place to share my creations with folks that may have a deeper understanding and appreciation of them than tipsy distracted live social environments.  I also have a lot more to offer now in terms of understanding and skill and am excited about being able to contribute more as a listener and participant than I was able as a teenager on MacJams.
