I'm an ape-descended, carbon-based life form who still thinks digital watches are a neat idea...
Hailing from the backwoods of Mississippi, I got my musical start playing French horn in the late 70s when I was 10 years old and never looked back. After a few years of that, I realized there weren't a lot of French horns in punk rock, so I got a cheap pawnshop bass guitar, and, again, never looked back.
Bands came and went in college and work pretty much put a halt on the French horn, bass guitar and other assorted musical ambitions for a decade or so, then I learned about a new program called GarageBand and soon after that, a website called MacJams. A change in jobs let me blow the dust off my bass guitar, French horn and those assorted musical ambitions and, almost two decades later I've still never looked back. (Mainly because I'm scared of what might be chasing me.)
Right now, I have just a handful of older remixed tunes and a couple of relatively new tunes, but now with iBandstand up and going, and a lot of familiar faces - or at least names - I'm getting the recording bug again. I'm also playing in a band again with a couple of college friends and we play all of the top pizza places and farmer's markets in and around our small Mississippi town.
Fun stuff.
