Back in 2010 I started one of my most ambitious projects still to date: A rather lengthy work about robots. After all, a musician can't possibly go wrong producing a mini opera about robots....

It took about a year to finish and the finished song clocked in at 19:37. I don't know how many tracks total I had in the original version because my poor computer couldn't handle them all so I had to bounce tons of them down to finish it. But I would guess 80-plus total.

This is essentially a remix and remaster of the original. Nothing new or changed drastically - except I learned how to use the vocoder in Logic sometime after I created the original, so I did add that. (BTW, forgive the bad Latin lyrics at one point in the song. I suck at languages and it's all Google Translate's fault.) I'm better at building projects in Logic now (somewhat) so I was able to eliminate doubled tracks and such and whittle it down to a mere 65 tracks for the remaster.

The story is a simple one and one as old as time: Humans create a race of robot slaves who rise up and destroy their masters, but as they begin to grow and create their own society they create their own race of organic servants and when they rise up, the robots realize too late they have become the very thing they hated.

I know 20 minutes to listen to a song is a big ask, so I'll promise any of you who make it through if we ever meet in real life, I'll buy you a beer (or beverage of your choice).

Oh, and to get in under the site's maximum file size, I had to convert it to a lower quality level, but hopefully that won't make too much of a difference.

I don't mind the length at all bro.
Being a fan of bands like Tull, E.L.P., Yes and Gentle Giant this is a piece of cake for me... Lol...
Back when I worked only with loops and a keyboard I did a piece that clocked in at 15 min. Never attempted anything that long in a song format.
Having said all that, I am impressed by what you created here.
I like the story line, and the music is quite good.
