This is a tune created by former MacJams.com member, and friend to many of us here, Jack Hemby who passed away recently. Jack posted different versions of this tune on the old MJ at least a couple of times as I remember it and it was always a favorite around this time of the year.

I was lucky enough to work with Jack on several Halloween tunes we posted on MJ, including a sequel to this song, but it was always the original that pretty much everyone agreed was the best Halloween song on the site.

Jack lost his original files for a while, but once he rediscovered them, he was kind enough to send me a copy to play with. I had an idea for a more gothic, symphonic sound for the song and he was happy to let me play with it. I sent him a few rough drafts but never really finished that project. After he passed and I was going through his songs and projects we'd worked on, I came across it again and decided to finally finish it.

Everything in this version (with the exception of a couple of guitar sounds) is all Jack. I simply re-voiced and rearranged while adding some new-fangled wizardry we didn't have 15 or so years ago.

So Emma lives again!

What a nice surprise to see Emma emerge again!  This is one of my favorite songs from the MJ days.  I have Jack's original version on my playlist, and when it comes on, it takes me back to those fun days.  This is an awesome rendition.
