So I ended up being away for longer than planned… no internet, no cell phone, no TV… in a camper far up a stream in the woods in Indiana, close to a month.. only brought 2 guitars, did a fret job on one and I played the other… before I had a studio I would explore my guitar for hours…. Now I get up in the morning get my coffee and start turning knobs, it has stunted my musical growth… So up in the woods I listened to a blues tune by Bonnie Rait, Too Soon to Tell.. every so often someone wants to jam, and you sit down to find another blues tune in 12 bars, 1-4-5, 4/4 time, and I always want to walk away… it just seems so lazy to me… but here is Bonnie playing 6/8 slow blues and going thru all sorts of variations… I just sat there and picked it apart until I understood what they were doing… when I finally got back here I had everything charted and I turned on my studio… the Goal was to finish it in one day, that was yesterday, I didn’t make it
