A synestia is an idea about a special shape that might form after big space objects crash into each other. Imagine a really fast spinning donut made of hot, melted rock. Scientists came up with this idea in 2017. They think a synestia might happen when things in space are spinning so fast that the outside spins faster than it should be able to stay together.
