Years ago I came up with a short orchestral piece that for some reason brought the great Leonard Bernstein to mind. I won’t wonder what he would have thought of it. His standards were very high, but I’d like to think it might have caught his attention. Personally I think this would have been a cool piece for a modern dance. So here is my short tribute to a one of a kind musician his friends affectionately called, Lenny. And here is a video from “So You Think You Can Dance”, danced to by Katee Shean & William Wingfield to a beautiful “Pas de Deux” choreographed by Desmond Richardson, originally to "Imagine" sung by David Archuleta on Season 4", is here set to new and very different music "Lenny" composed & performed by…me. https://youtu.be/_WmWt0ps-Dc

A slinky melody there, Charlie - one that draws my ear in. Sort of sounds like Copland and Stravinsky. I do like the use of major/minor chord (the major 3rd and the minor 3rd either together or in proximity). You have some auxiliary chord tones too, it sorts of sounds as well like an old American folk tune, as well as film noire-ish. Lenny would approve. Stravinsky wrote a lot of music using these types of chords: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZv17y3DzHg . (Stravinsky: Symphony in 3 Movements, K73: II. Andante – Interlude. L'istesso tempo. You should do more with it - develop it (by key change is one way, or add a contrasting section. Bravo!
