This little ditty was born of noodling about on my
beat up old Goya.

It’s the last piece recorded for my “COMPASS” CD,
where it is placed AFTER three happy love songs,
and BEFORE the tragic love song “Molly Bond.”
This was done so that the transition wouldn’t be
so emotionally jarring.

I’ve been working steadily on this 17 track CD since
July of last year. I’m exhausted! I need to take a
break from both writing and recording.

For those who don’t know, “Intermissio Brevis”
is Latin for “brief intermission.”

Will the intermission be BRIEF? I don’t know…

I’ve entertained the thought of quitting altogether.
Life has its seasons after all, and I’m 73 now.

Time will tell…

Anyway, I hope some of you can enjoy this.

wow! this is excellent. i love the switch to the occasional final major chord (there's some fancy name for that... maybe picardy third?) but any way... very cool! what was that background shaker sound? it fit in very well

Re quitting. I've tried before. You can guess how THAT worked out. 
Sooner or later my Mac will die. As I will not be able to afford another I will be forced to quit. When my first Mac died I was unable to record for six years until I was finally able to get another.
It's just a hobby after all, albeit one I enjoy immensely...

I used a maraca both at the break and at the end. In the second verse I used an "egg" throughout.
