Measuring Success

The common man will find his sport nowhere else but on a basketball court
Then he gets a promotion and is given a raise and takes up bowling on his Saturdays

What does this mean where success is concerned
By following his sports just what have we learned
As man turns his attention to the almighty dollar
The size of his balls get smaller and smaller.

When he gets to be forman he’ll be sure to proclaim that football is now his favorite game
Becoming supervisor he’s on his way and baseball becomes his game of the day

What does this mean where success is concerned
By following his sports just what have we learned
As man turns his attention to the almighty dollar
The size of his balls get smaller and smaller.

And now he’s management he’s found a new sport and joins his friends on the tennis court
When reaching the top its never the same you don’t have a choice, golf is your game

What does this mean where success is concerned
By following his sports just what have we learned
As man turns his attention to the almighty dollar
The size of his balls get smaller and smaller.

Fun song. Isnt thatvwhat always happens when people get to much success.  I like the interaction beyween the keys and guitar.  Your singing suits the lyrics.

This has got your thumbprint all over it... you've incorporated so much influence from the progressive GREATS.... but somehow it's really YOU... by the way if you haven't checked out Jon Anderson with the Band Geeks... you might want to give them a listen.... I am going back to see them 1st chance I get... best Yes concert I ever saw
