Song information
Well St. Patrick’s Day has now passed, and Spring is in the air! We all know what THAT means…

Anyway, back in 2011, when a few of my then fellow MacJammers were posting some sex-themed songs, I decided I would try MY hand at writing one.

The result was this goofy, tongue-in-cheek (no pun intended, honest!) PARODY…

I am responsible (I won’t deny it!) for the lyrics, and the acoustic guitar on this one.

Thankfully, several other folk were only too happy to join in on the fun, AND TO SHARE THE BLAME. (Safety in numbers?)

Fear not! The lyrics consist of solely of metaphors, so it’s only suggestively “Explicit.” (Mothers, no real need to lock up your daughters!)

For what it’s worth, I had never before done an “Explicit” song, and I’m positive I never will again.

Sooooo… if you enjoyed (as did I) The Cupcake_Parade’s: “The Creamery”…

CO-CONSPIRATORS:

The thunder down under, Neil Porter, played bass.
The barely containable Bob Sperber played acoustic slide guitar.
Man of mystery: Relic67, fiddled about, and then some. (Hmm…)
That sultry siren Alannah provided some vocal stimulation (fifth verse);
—and the ever and always formidable Scott Fugate gave the skins quite a beating!

PS: the file stems for this one were lost in the Great Mac Crash of 2011, so I was only able to do a little remastering.

Please be gentle folks…

Lyrics
PORT OF CALL

I
Hello pretty mama… Put down that telephone!
The time for talk is over. Won’t you throw this dog a bone?
For what I’m feeling baby, I’ll probably burn in hell;
but I don’t give a tinker’s damn, I’m lost here in your smell!
Oh, in your smell…

II
Sit right down here in my lap. Tell me ‘bout your day;
and I’ll be grinning widely, as I examine your “pate.”
You know I’ve always loved you honey. You know I always will.
Darling please keep that in mind, as I move in for the kill!
Oh, for the kill…

Chorus:
I sometimes feel so far away from home;
but that feeling disappears when I mount your willing form!

III
My ship sets sail for paradise. I’m floating in your arms.
The things I’m gonna do to you, won’t cause you any harm.
Your heights, your depths, all points between; astounding in their scope.
You are this sailor’s port-of-call, his anchor, and his hope…
and his hope!

IV
I love the scent of your beautiful hair. I love the way it lies,
around your satin shoulders; how it frames your shining eyes.
I love your gentle laughter, your tremors and your sighs;
the sudden catch in your angel-breath, and the sound of passion’s cries;
—of passion’s cries…

Chorus:
Well sometimes feel so far away from home;
but that feeling disappears when I mount your willing form!

Chorus:
Well I sometimes feel so far away from home;
but that feeling disappears when I mount your willing form!

V
[Her response]
“I love your stately body. I love your regal bone…
the helplessness there in your eyes, as I start to make you squirm!
—the way we dance together, as we command by turns;
and die into each other’s arms, while the world around us burns…
around us burns!”

VI
The torture is exquisite, as pain and pleasure merge.
My sanity in question now… I feel I’m on the verge.
As I’m squeezing you so tightly, please don’t think me a churl.
I’m afraid if I let go of you, I’ll fall right off the world;
—-right off the world!

VII
My mind bends then evaporates,
as you wiggle, twist, and whirl!
I’m afraid if I let go of you, I’ll fall right…
fall right off the world…

—FALL RIGHT OFF THE WORLD!

Glad you enjoyed it Charlie, because "nasty" really isn't my thing, and I'll not pass this way again. But as I'm one of those "I'll pretty much try anything once" kind of guys, I couldn't help giving it a shot this one time. Ha ha...
Indeed, I'd have left this one tucked away in the back of the drawer if it hadn't turned out so well. Helps a lot when talented folks pitch in! Couldn't have pulled this one off by myself...

Oh I love the fiddle towards the end! Do you play the fiddle? This is a real fun song! Such a long epic piece! Who's the lady singer? I like her voice too! [SUCKS... I should read your description first! Bah!!!] Never mind...I blame it on my old age! I truly enjoyed your long story!

Oh yes, that's VERY cool stuff indeed. You have a fab band with you (so nice to hear Bob6Stringer on the slide), the song is perfectly written, the country-rock feeling is amazing. What's not to like ? Nothing ! (and one more detail : nothing beats a real drummer. Nothing)

Back in the heyday of Macjams I was fortunate to collab with a lot of talented folks. And you're right about live drummers... Worked with several back then. They've since moved on to other things.
Thanks so much for listening friend.
