Yesterday I watched at The King's Speech, a wonderful english movie about King Georges VI who was stutterer and who hired an Australian speech therapist to help him deliver the most terrible radio speech broadcast about Great Britain's entry into war against Germany.
While he was giving his speech, at the end of the film, the second movement of Beethoven's 7th symphony was playing. And, during the final credits, we could hear this second movement of his concerto No. 5 "Emperor".
Let me deliver my version of this so beautiful mouvement.
@KennethLavrsen Thanks for your kind comment my friend. You're right, this one was particulary difficult to do, specially the piano track whose tempo always changes (sometime 2 or 3 times in a measure). Those piano players never think of my cover work 😉
I knew I would be in for a treat clicking play... and I was right! Your talent to create this.. I'm a bit jealous! It must have been somewhat transcendental playing this. Those fast notes halfway... goosebumps!! Delightful listen!
I work a lot with Kontact and midi in general-knowing the pitfalls of this medium I hold you in the highest respect for your interperatation on this-kudos
Terrific! Yes, this is the work of Beethoven, but you've put your own stamp on the music in its presentation. I am absolute control freak and this sounds simply splendid! Lovely piano sound and the rendering is exquisite. Works like these are of course in the public domain, and lots of folk would pay money for the rights to this rendering. I've sold some arrangements that I have made that are in the public domain - I suspect you can as well. Check out Pond5. You probably already know of IMSLP, but if not, there is a vast resource there, including .midi files.
