Lovely and fresh, Kenneth. I thought that the melody was strong. I know that you compose 'by ear', but you are using fancy classical compositional things like chord progressions, voice leading mostly correctly. I enjoy the optimism!
@soulima yeah, I cannot read traditional sheet music. But I have spent 100s of hours reading and watching music theory and using the piano roll editor voice leading is actually not that hard to see. At the moment I focus on borrowed chords to spice up my melodies and progressions
@FrancoJazz Thanks a lot. I guess I will have to test myself composing jazz pieces again. Jazz is to me the most difficult genre to play. But also the most awarding. And I listen to a lot of jazz.
@TrebleFace A colleage at work also said it reminded her of xmas. I am sure it is the Celeste (which I doubled with a Rhodes to make a fatter sound). Maybe I will make a Christmas version later this year. "The bells are ringing". Ha! Thanks for your feedback
Super serene ... and it's about birds, of course! I can hear them flitering in the sky, chirping to their young, and darting for the insects! Beautifully depicted!
very pretty! I imagine my Robin who wakes me up every morning at 4:45 am ... singing to this! And now the early rays peep through the leaves of our plastic blind to squint my sticky eyes. As I struggle to face the day's chores, and the world's troubles, I am listening to your relaxing tones...calming me. Very calming piece to me!
