Been working on a big collaboration. That sort of thing takes a bit longer than usual.

In the meantime, my friend Dan introduced me to the half capo. While waiting for files from others in our collaboration, I began playing around with capos.

This tune emerged when I was jamming with a full capo on the third fret and the half capo on the fifth fret. I came up with the rhythm guitar for two songs. This is the first song. Everything was built up rather quickly from that rhythm track.

It sure is a noisy bugger; but some folks enjoy that.

Anyway---and for what it's worth---here is one result of my crazy capo experiment.

Hey Dyl... Not sure how I feel about this one. On an album I think it would be more of less "filler." However I DID have a lot of fun recording it!

Thanks Matt. I'm just one of those guys that sometimes works really hard on a track, and when it's finished doubts anyone will like it. I felt the same about "Jump Back." I recorded it a couple years ago and didn't post it because I thought it to be inferior work. I was surprised at the response. Will I ever learn? Maybe... maybe not.
As for capos, many of my newer tracks are recorded with the CAPO on the third fret. It enables me to sing in a slightly lower register. I don't have to strain as much to hit those high notes! But using two of them---a whole one and a half one---is a new experience for me. Glad you enjoyed it bro!

Everything I do has a seventies flavor. Even when I try to do a song in 80s style it comes out sounding seventies! Could it be because I actually AM in my 70s? Lol...

Thank you Gerald. I did have fun recording this. However, the vocals on this mix make me wince a bit. I have since posting it gone back and smoothed them out. Also adjusted the mix in a few other places. This almost always happens to me. I think I'm finally finished with a song. I post it. THEN I hear a bunch of stuff that needs correction. SIGH...
