Hi,

My name is Paul Wilkins (silky is my nickname) and I compose music for small media  & film productions in my spare time. Self taught with early life music lessons on piano and clarinet to grade 5 and studying Orchestration and film composition in my spare time.  -  I also engage and perform with Local Symphonic Choirs and Orchestras.  This has allowed me to work with some of the great leading instrument and vocal soloists of our time and pick up the pallet of colours to paint a composition with (for want of a better metaphor). We have a wonderful local music hall blessed with great designed acoustics and is now the resident use of the London Symphonic Orchestra attracting leading talent to perform.

The music I produce is cross Genre so not always restricted to Orchestra. (Dance, Jazz, Big Band, World and Synths for example). It is however thematic or melodic as I feel this is often an area that really pulls the emotions especially when putting to film unless I'm asked for sound design (which I also enjoy)..

My other personal interest, other than dangerous water sports and paragliding, is Astronomy and Astrophotography so if you are also interested in this feel free to PM me to arrange a chat.
