Beethoven's 9th symphony is surely the greatest symphony ever composed for centuries (2 at least). It was first published in 1824 in Vienna. Next year will be its bicentenary (I have already booked 2 places in May 2024 in Paris philharmonic theater). This monumental work, in which Richard Wagner saw "the last of the symphonies", marked a decisive turning point in this musical style and is often considered a masterpiece of the Western repertoire, and as one of the greatest symphonies and works music of all time. I did remix the 3 first movements but was stuck for the last one as I dit not find any tools for the choirs. This is first movement and I hope you will appreciate. Last movement has been used for Europe anthem. Due to the website limit, I had to upload a 160kbps version.
I cannot imagine how much work you have put into even just one movement. I am deeply impressed. Thank you for sharing this. And I agree with you when it comes to Beethoven. And it does not get less impressive a piece when we know that at this stages of Beethoven's life, he had lost all hearing.
Really good Midid mock up - its great to do this from time to time - to keep the Orchestration Skills in tact and up to date :-). I have Choir tools. Brilliant !
I agree with Sam. The patience and dedication you must have to score this movement from such a monumental work is uber impressive. Sounds really good. Thanks for posting. Kind regards, Peter.
Sounds very clean. Good sonic balance. The attack sounds authentic as well. The ambience is also nicely done; not too 'dry' or too 'wet'. How are you entering all the musical material into your software? If you are doing one note-at-a-time, that's a lot of work. Probably, the vast majority of users on a site like this would not realize how onerous a task that would be. BTW, the 160 kbps file sounds quite good, although I imagine that you'd prefer to upload a 320 kbps version. Bravo!
