So what triggered this song was all the talk about Nuclear War.... all it will take is one idiot, one button and life could vanish for all of mankind and the beauty of our beautiful planet.

Serious music for a serious universal concern. Love the sound of this piece, bright and deep. I think the last silent part of the piece could stay as it is, describing the end of the world: no life, no sound.
Creeps up and envelops you. It’s odd and almost genius the way it ends with a long silence. I know it’s an accident, but accidents can change everything.
