Song information
This song is a sequel to my last posting: “Tunnel Vision.”

It was originally recorded back in 2008 or 2009. The files were not properly saved and had deteriorated some over the years, so I asked that mighty mix master Tom Hellstens if he could doctor it up. Well, he agreed and did a very fine job of it. Thanks so much Tom!

Wow, what a great job Tom did on this one. Recalls me a bit Led Zep, mostly the intro. We can use the best samples library it never sounds like real instruments, real violin and cello. Great song Mike.

Passionately sung!  I agree with Thierry that it has a little of early Zep influence. Really excellent tune. Kudos to Mr. Tom on bringing back into existance!

I am so glad Tom undertook this one. Indeed, this one especially. Compared to his new mix the original sounded dull as dust and flat as a pancake. Props to Tom Hellstens, resident mix master!

Thanks my brother! I never caught it before but I think I agree about the early Zep influence. I was never a huge fan of the band, but I did by their first album when it came out and I loved most of it!  So the was probably lurking about in my subconscious mind for years.  ("Babe I'm Gonna Leave You"?)

Glad you enjoyed the song friend. As for the accoutrements, I always try to provide artwork, notes, and lyrics. I think it's an important part of the presentation. I always read the notes anfd lyrics others' provide. It's a way, not only to understand the song, but also to better understand the artist.

Beautiful song Mike and well mixed Tom. Love the combination of accoustic sounds and yes a very early zep energy about it but i'm also getting a Stephane Grappelli/Django Reinhardt vibe too-great song writing and fine production

I was never able to get the cello sounding good. Thank goodness for Tom! He also made the mix sound more three dimensional.
I've always been fond of this one but have been reluctant to post it until now. Again, thanks to Tom...

What I wanted to do here was work with a real live celloist and a real live violinist. Had I taken a more heavy rock approach they would have been eclipsed! The original demo had a simple keyboard in the background and even that was too much. So this ended up being one of my RARE excursions into the purely acoustic. As for Zep... Never liked them much... only a couple songs off their first album and that's it. Ha ha... Plant's singing annoyed me to no end...

You are too kind my friend. Although I enjoy rocking my brains out, I'm really an old folkie at heart. I don't do as much of it because I'm just NOT that good at it. Every now and then, though, I manage to somehow "step in something good." It was so gratifying that Relic and Daniel were willing to play on this...
