At the end of stressful days I often need to unwind at the piano and mellow out enough to go to bed. I just like to sit an improv my feelings. Sometimes I hit record and make a song out of it. That’s what this song is, night time piano after a long, hard day.
For those on iPad and interested in this piano sound, I combinined Pianoteq 8’s Bosendorfer VC Jazz piano patch + the free Salamander grand piano soundfont together in AUM to make a fuller concert grand piano sound.
I’m guessing this should be in the Classical genre?
Thanks for listening.

Nice piano, "There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself." – Johann Sebastian Bach just great.......!
Thank you @Grathy, @Wyndsok and @GR646. I guess it's half impro, kind of had the melody in mind. Started the piano recording over a few times because I didnt like the direction I took it. But it wasn’t planned, I just like to mess with chord progressions over a melody, and see where it ends up. I later added some soft synth stuff that fit the piano track.
I would call this 'classical'. It's got a beautiful lilt to it and a lovely chord progression underneath a memorable melody. Accomplished piano playing to boot. Incredible to think that you improvised this; develop it!
I'm inspired to do an orchestral version of this one, especially after hearing all the really great scoring some of you have posted on the site. Last month I purchased StaffPad for iPad on sale. Haven't found time to make a serious piece with it yet. This waltz may be the first project using it.
