Once upon a time, I was a very argumentative fellow…

Consider this my heart-felt apology!

’nuff said…

PS: I did a sequel to this tune called: “Back In The Tunnel.” The mighty Tom Hellstens has done a wonderful restoration/remix of it. I plan to post it next, so stay tuned!

Lyrics
TUNNEL VISION

I
Hello, my friend, won't you sit awhile?
I would like to know what's on your mind.
But I,
read between the lines as you speak.
And I,
insert many things you don't believe
at all.

II
Pardon me friend, there I go again;
jumping to conclusions, I offend!
And I,
don't separate the sinner from the sin.
For I,
am tunnel vision's victim once again;
my dear friend.

Bridge:
Sometimes I see clearly.
Sometimes I am blind.
Mostly it's this tunnel vision,
messin' with my mind.

Living with myopia's
cold and empty stare.
If it lies outside my focus,
it simply is not there.
No...

III
How you can endure me I don't know.
You must be blessed with the patience of Job.
It's not
somethin' that I planned to do , my friend.
But I,
am tunnel vision's victim once again.
Mmm...mmm...

Good work Mike!  You are working at a very high level.
The nuance in your playing improves with each post.
The vocals are great.  Put some ideas into things too.  Great work, fourth and fifth wall breaks.  Bravo!

Thanks. I appreciate it a LOT!
This song was actually first written, recorded, and posted in a mostly acoustic demo back in 2007 (if memory serves). The original had a brief and really cheesy electric guitar solo...
In 2018 I took the vocal and the acoustic guitar and added electric guitars, bass, keys and drums. Finally I remixed and remastered it for this post.
The original was probably my most popular post at MJ.
Just a little bit O' history...

It's a very fine song, no wonder it's been popular on MJ. Lyrics are so sharp and so is this crazy solo moment.. Bravo !

Thanks Dorothy!
When I wrote this I was seriously struggling with argumentiveness and sarcasm. The song was therapeutic for me.

This is an amazing song.  From singing to music top to bottom.  Parts of it remind me of Gowan and trust me that's a compliment.
