@deezee Thank-you for those flattering kind words, I find myself rekindling an interest in getting creative again musically, I needed a rest, and do other projects. 'Sara Says' is an oldie, kind of which I thought warranted plucking from obscurity.
I have no idea quite how Rhonda and I lost touch, but for the record I can confirm my favourite female singer, like a combination of Stevie Nicks meets Chrissie Hynde. Rhonda (aka Rhonie) is a phenomenal song writer in her own right.
'Walk Away' is bittersweet I never knew it would be the last track we worked on, and it was unique because I wrote the lyrics, normally Rhonie handled those duties. I recollect Rhonie's "I want to record those lyrics" remark back in the day. 'Walk Away' was my attempt to produce a lyric equal to her turn of phrase, unique lyric approach I adored (ie 'Simple' 'Down On Herself' Rhonie originals). I had to go up several levels 'Walk Away' was a result of Rhonie driving me to raise my game.
Here's an aside ask anyone what was the best day of your life and it will be birth of a child, or a wedding etc etc. For me there where a couple of hours in San Jose California me and Rhonda where in her lounge, me on guitar, including her late fathers Martin guitar, and Rhonda performing tracks we'd only done via iComp online. It was goosebumps hair standing up on the back of your neck situation, every song, bang first time! Like we'd been playing them together forever, one of those 'Once In A Life Time' moments.
I am genuinely chocked that you like 'Walk Away' so much, and Rhonda you did great gal!
