Everyone is snapping fingers

I’m trying to keep up with them
Too bad I was born
With two left feet

I can hardly dance the rumba
They say I’ve got it wrong
I always sit on the sidelines

Better head up to the punchbowl
Where I can drown
My beat less soul

At school they gave me lessons
On how to keep the beat
But soon I tripped and landed
On someone else’s feet

Maybe I’ll stick to ‘rithmatic
Where I can make sense
With paper and ink

Make far more sense to me
Equations and divisions
Are easy for me to see

Too bad I can’t convert the math
To the dance floor
Where I incur such wrath

Who will put up with this clod
And be patient with my foolish ways
