Ok, this is the last AI song I'll post here I promise. I wrote and recorded a version of this song, very fleshed out and made a video for it as well. I thought this would be a very interesting one to throw at AI because it's so dynamic and awkwardly arranged at points. Now, I was able to do something that I think increases the usefulness of AI. AI spits out some pretty unique versions of the song but you can taper down your control over what comes out using parameters and tags in your lyrics like [instrumental intro] etc. Still, the versions can differ fairly significantly in terms of the sonic makeup overall if that makes sense. But since you can grab stems for all instruments, it seems pretty doable to take the best bits and pieces and edit them together. I was able to take a horn section here from one AI version and use it over a completely different AI version of the song. I also spliced the intro from one AI version and joined it with the rest of a different version. I think it works and takes my song to a level I never could've gotten it to otherwise. Is it the same as hiring Nashville pros or building a band in Jamaica? No. But on the other hand it cost me $4 and I finished it a half day.
