Biography » Kaverley

I am Ken Lee and known to friends simply as "K V".

It is good to be back here at iBandstand and I am looking forward to meeting again previous acquaintances here and of course and meeting new ones.

I am Stan Loh’s old pal from our Kinder Garten schooldays in Malaysia. During our teens, we learned to play the guitar and sang together. That was in the late 50’s and our pop idols were the Everly Brothers. When school ended, I left home for Dublin, Ireland to attend university and so Stan and I were parted.
At university, I met a fellow student Robert - a talented singer and harmonica player. We started singing at college functions and in due course, we earned decent pocket money by singing in the bars, pubs and clubs of Dublin. We even performed on Irish TV and in the summer of 1966, we sang in a 6-week long Summer Show at the Dublin Gaiety Theatre!
I now live in the UK and although living in the other side of the world all these years from Stan, we have remained best of friends. Our friendship has never wavered and today we continue to make music together.
