From 2010 I think. Stem files lost in the Great Mac Crash of 2011. Thankfully the mix is decent enough. Only needed some remastering, which I did for this posting.

My reason for writing this song was to poke fun at excessive drinking. With St. Patrick’s Day just ahead, posting this seems apropos.

Please note that I’ve only been to a bar twice in my entire life, each time to see and support a certain celtic-rock band; so—lacking personal experience to draw on—I cheated and Google’d “bar-room one liners.” I wrote a bunch of them down, and then arranged them into the lyrics for this song. (There’s more than one way to skin a cat!)

My favorite line herein is a quote from none other than my good friend Plato:

“He was a wise man who invented beer.”

I concur! I DO drink, albeit moderately. I just have never have been interested in bars or in bar culture. I’ve never even watched a single episode of CHEERS… (BLASPHEMY… I hear someone cry!) However, if you ever happen to be a guest in my home on Yahtzee night, WATCH OUT!

Sitting behind the live drum kit on this one is the “nimble and quick” Andy Mackle.

I picked up your slack btw at joints in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Abilene and Austin and hundred more in towns at the county line in between, all over Europe, Korea and parts of Bosnia and the Middle East. Don't worry I more than covered ya.
