We can't find the internet
Attempting to reconnect
The Departed Vocals, music and lyrics by Mary McGrath Copyright Medium.com 8/8/24-All rights reserved It's hard enough when somebody goes, the wave of emotions that ebb and flow Like the tide, that rakes the sand, pulling some of it away, with its greedy hand. Or the spray of angry waves crashing on the ground, at the rocks below they continue to pound, as we endure another day. Funny how a life is a mess of forms to be filled, trips to the bank, accounts to be killed, And other concrete places drawers and files revealing traces of a life done, yet undone. Paper thin proof laid flat and bare we pick up the pieces scattered here and there, As another tear travels down the family tree tell me, was this meant to be? Somehow we’ll will get through this, those piles of forms that remind us to sweep up the ashes and make sense of it all. It's hard to fathom, what we now know, somehow we go on with the lives we must sow.
