I’m posting this celtic-rock instrumental in honor of the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day.
This was originally conceived as a sequel to a political song I wrote called “Freedom’s Child.”
However, if like me you’re sick and tired of the whole shooting match, the last thing you want to hear about at this juncture is politics!
So I’ve re-titled the tune from “Freedom’s Child (Revisited)” to “Fairy Danse,” which actually seems a better fit!
So forget politics for a few minutes, knock one back (or two… or three…), and LOOSE your inner Leprechaun!
I dedicate this tune to the fathers of celtic rock; none other than the Irish band HORSLIPS, and to the memory of their recently deceased guitarist, the great Johnny Fean. (R.I.P. brother!)
Enjoy the ride my friends!
“When God is on the bodhran, the atoms want to dance!” (From “In Your Eyes,” by the OYSTER BAND.)
I love Celtic music! The only time I went to Ireland was when Kaverley took me there. We spent a week there! Loved it! You have brought back some fond memories! I like your tune very much, mixed with some rock...excellent!
Thanks for dropping by. Was hoping you'd appreciate the Irish and Scottish percussion. As for your lyrics, some things really ARE better left unsaid. Ha ha...
