Midnight children, vagabond smells,
Flamethrower fixes, 
Living like hell,
Selling souls for fives and sixes,
With no spare change to appease the fixer,

I’m a midnight child,
Hanging to dry like a broken bell,
I’m a midnight child,
Wasting away like a crumbling well.

Seeking comfort, finding shame,
Another day ends, 
But not the pain,
Our souls lie shattered, at the bottom of a well,
No food in our bellies, our bodies we’ll sell.

Cold rugged pavements, open enslavement,
Refuge in a sleeping bag,
Hell if we’re lucky, maybe old Sally will fill our packs,
