Song information
Way back when I was in college, I took astronomy. It was there I was introduced to the concept of retrograde. I came up with the bare bones idea of a song called Day Of Retrograde. It's not until now, that it's been fleshed out and is now officially recorded. About the Etude, for the first ten years or so of the millennium we are in, I worked a lot in restaurants playing classical guitar (secondary income). I stopped that when it finally became to stressful. The great irony of classical guitar, I find, is that it's relaxing to listen to, but usually it's anything but relaxing to play. Every nuance and note have to be perfect. I revived Heitor Villa-Lobos' Prelude No. 11 (one of the songs I played back in the day) as I felt it would compliment this one quite well. This is a real long one, I know, but I hope that just like with tunes such as Like A Rolling Stone, Hey Jude, and Stairway To Heaven, you'll find that it's worth every second.

Lyrics
Outwit the stars, way up high
Watch the passerbys falls out of sight
Hesitation clear to the eye
See the big men turn to parasite

CHORUS:
It's the day of retrograde
No deep thoughts seem to be flying
It's the day of retrograde
But the sun is shining

Tension runs high in this year
No one can tell if it's good or bad
In a passing phase stifle a fear
Learn to accept feeling that we had

REPEAT CHORUS:

The fetler man didn't think I could sing this song
What would he say now that I've proved him wrong

Miles it seems, the path you're on
Don't let the planets control you
But one further step and then it's gone
Send your vibrations to the chosen few

REPEAT CHORUS:

Yes classical guitar very pleasing to listen to
And tough to play .. it was the first instrument I picked for study at the academy and I just left 3 months through just wanted to strum and play chords switched to string although the nylon had a special sound and flavor too
Great comp and play you have here
Well enjoyed ..

OMG what a great journey.  Instant classic.  Prog rock at its best.  Pink Floyd/Yes would be proud to come up with this. 10 out of 10.
