Fields of Dandelion © Stan Loh October 6, 2020 Verse 1 In the fields of dandelion, Each year the graves prepare, The saddest moods of mellow, In patches of flaxen yellow, But it’s the blood that tastes so bitter, With countless tears of woe, No matter how we face it, The dead had suffered most! Verse 2 With the strength of dandelion, Comes a cause that doesn’t die, For each summer it will fire, The seeds that fill the skies, For it’s the peace that lives had fought for, The dried up red now black, And families are broken, Some braves won’t be back, Verse 3 Can we learn from dandelion? The resilience of its life, It survives each deadly winter, No words to call surrender, It lives a life with circumstances, When it’s stormy, when its calm, Uniting against the greedy, To let the world have peace, Outro Don’t let one life pay for, The greed and the wars.
