Song information
Many (seventeen ?) years ago, I had the huge honor and pleasure to make a collab with Bernardo, Hernan and Anna, for this sort-of-tango piece. Always loved the result, and it made the cut to my "Folk Off" album in 2009. This song was written by Joe Henry (and someone called Madonna even recorded a version - "Don't Tell Me", that doesn't sound at all like this one!! Madonna being Joe's sister in law...).
Macoco and Barretok are there with us on iBandstand (and that's great). I lost contact with Anna Veronese, from Italy, that was playing some splendid diatonic accordion... Credits :
Macoco (Argentina) : Nylon guitar solos
Barretok (Peru) : Spanish words and vocals
Anna Veronese (Italia) : Accordeon
Moi : Vocals (English), all instruments, mix and mastering

A beatiful arrangement and delivery...some gypsy soul!  I remember when you first released this and it's as much a treat now as it was then.  Great work from all collaborators too!

Seventeen? Wow, we're old. Haha. I always loved this song with its Latin flavor—well, three Latin guys. Thank you for posting it, my friend. I miss Anna's accordion. She was great, we should find her.

I love how this slowly builds to the passionate apex... a slow steady textured ride... and then that moment really brings it home

Wow! I loved to be involved in this song, my dear Dyl! I remember playing that guitar, just put a mic inside my loved spanish guitar hole and played it, each time an octave lower, because the song was evolving, and going bass is a way to disappear. Big hug Dyl!
