So here's the story... I arrived a little early to my Wednesday night hockey league. While sitting in my car in the lot, listening to a cover of Neil Young's "Cortez the Killer", a friend/team mate startled me by leaning in the window and asking, "What are you listening to?" I answered, "Well, actually it's me. This is my attempt at covering Neil." Andy then replied, " I know who I'm giving my next guitar to." I responded with a chuckle, "ha, that would be great." I genuinely thought he was joking. A year later, at hockey, he walks in with a hand built Fender, set neck, Tele and said, "here you go!" I was absolutely blown away, completely!!! He then told me that it would have been finished much sooner but his dog had been sick and scratched up his meticulous lacquer finish so he had to completely strip and re-finish it. This is a recording of the first session with this beautiful piece of art!! I cannot thank my friend Andy enough!
