Song information
Written way back in 1992. It was strongly brought on or influenced by two Buffalo Springfield songs. One was "Mr. Soul," written by Neil Young, in which he came up with some very cool but very offbeat lyrics about a possible relationship with a fan. The other was "Rock And Roll Woman," by Stephen Stills, which had some really cool nice guitar work, chords, and interplay, as well as as a good groove. I wanted to incorporate both of those things together. The lyrics here were not about anyone in particular. Just some weird words for some fictional character. Recorded in 2020, during the pandemic, of course.

Lyrics
Hello Mrs. Jones what's the reason
You come to me and turn my head like the seasons
I was down on the day that you sent me
How was I supposed to know you've gone away

What's that you say, no trade, my how you're getting old
Why don't you go down just like your sister sold

CHORUS:

If you want me to show you what's found
How can I do it when you're never around
You ask me what I found
It's time to let your love down

Wait up, for you, there's still a lot more
This gets me going just like you never knew before
I haven't told you about my ghastly goal
I think it'll scare you right down, to your very soul
I won't take anymore of your nice complaints
We're far too old to be looking at falling rain

REPEAT CHORUS:

Inspired by two great songs from a really fine band. You did a great job here Mark.
Vocals are always good, and your guitar work herein is tasty.
