This little improv piece was made playing on the ‘Sunrizer’ synth for iPad, using only sound presets made by a great synth preset maker who generously shared them freely on an iPad music forum we both frequent. While playing with the presets, I realized they not only sound good played individually, but would also blend together quite well. So, I decided to make a little song using only those presets, and here it is.

This was recorded on the fly, recorded one part, rewind and layered another part to go with the previous one, and so on, until I had a little piece to show off his wonderful synth sounds. The forest/woods in the picture is the view I see looking out my keyboard window.

It’s a short song, sometimes I just don’t have time to make something very involved.
