BAMBOO

Sun in the sky;
rain from the clouds;
wind through the bamboo,
so straight and so tall…

The storms of this life
are sometimes so hard to take.
Like the bamboo I must bend,
so that I don’t break;
…so that I don’t break.

Love in my heart;
a tear in my eye;
shaking my bones,
but I don’t know why.

Ever since I was a child,
haunted by this thing I feel:
the world that surrounds me,
it seems so unreal;
…it seems so unreal.

Sun rain and wind,
they’re calling my name.
The wind and my life’s breath,
are one and the same.

Sound of the sea;
roar of the waves;
eroding the shoreline,
of my life and being!

Will I ever learn to
navigate this ebb and flo?
Or will I remain
caught in the undertow?
