This piece was part of a three march set, and is by far the most famous. The original work was written for 4 hands; this is the 2 hand version.

I first transcribed this piece from sheet over 30 years ago, into the Deluxe Music Construction Set on an Amiga 500. While it played as well as one could expect for the time, it was a pretty labour-intensive task. Despite that, I decided to give it another go when I discovered Musescore 3.

I imported that score into version 4, changed the dynamic marks to be closer together, and removed most of the hairpins, since MS4 is still very dodgy on dynamics playback, and allows no adjustments other than replacing the markings entirely.
