sadly its a global thing me breing from the uk and in sheffield the leadmill was the place for indipendent stuff but sadly that was some leagal nonense and just as of today date 6th of agust 2026  tank a dance edm erm bit of everything club shuts on saturday after 12 years  the world is a changing

It's really demoralising. It's worse for younger musicians who are looking for a futurein live music. The world that is coming their way is not very pleasant.
