the heat is pouring down the street outside meanwhile i am in here cool refreshed watching Valeri pouring beers that vanish to other places in this fine old establishment i sit alone i can see out across the street through the window behind me reflected in the mirror hiding behind the bottles times have changed indeed the minis are gone replaced by other minis yet it seems vaguely possible that the cycle will close once again the air has that smell of rebellion the stifling heat amplifies it we are in a new place yet i am in an old place i lift up my sweating mug and swallow hard some things never change
