The story of: how I met Vicki Smith (Vixen). I posted a very short song on iC called Winter Star. Instrumental. Vicki liked it and wanted to sing the melody. I said great, for I was a fan of hers! Then she asked for lyrics. I said write whatever you fancy, that would be great! She admitted she had never written lyrics. Well neither had I but I started coaching her, trying to get her to pick up the trail and finish. Being a short song, my coaching turned into the lyric. But, and you know Vicki, she was pushing for an "evocative" end (hmm was that the word she used in defending the lyric?). Well, somebody called the lyric rude or something so I applauded her choice of language :-) So we share responsibility for the last few lines. Oh I knew this woman was quite something and we got along very well. Did more songs together too. Such a lovely voice. Anyway I love how this turned out. Not rude, not lewd but evocative. She said even her son blushed at the ending. I might not have this right Vicki so chime in. Our dear friend from New Zealand Vicki Smith is back!

Something very compelling about this… love the mysterious word pictures painted… there is an ethereal drift from the start… I don’t think the “Explicit” tag is necessary… it doesn’t come across to me as anything other than art…
