About a decade ago I was in Starbucks when I heard an intriguing Latin rhythm playing on the store’s streaming audio. I hummed the F# Minor/B riff into my phone recorder and forgot about it. Then a couple of years ago I found the file in my phone and decided it was time to build a song off of it. As I was putting this tune together, an interesting stylistic pastiche began to emerge. You may hear some overtones of El Chicano, Hank Marvin, Gary Moore, and Jeff Beck. All of this, of course, leads me to the question: “Are You Herrera?”
