but all the voices in the background... well that is a treasure. there are three live recordings back there. 

one track was me doing an "automatic speaking" session. it is like "automatic writing" (look it up), but in audio. i used that approach to create lyrics at times. sort of like glossologia, but not totally unhinged, still in english. (although i have used full-on glossoglia in a couple other songs too).

the other two tracks were the real treasure. they were surreptitiously recorded at a big family get-together. we asked my grandson to count to one hundred. he did a pretty good job overall. plus lots of other stuff was going on around this. the last track was more general things, but it included one of my granddaughters just barely starting to speak. that was special.

just finding those tracks today, hidden in there (for effect? i don't know. it was 20 years ago!) was a wonderful audio snapshot of a wonderful time in my life.
