Song information
Sharing a Bridge Creek song originally posted on Icompositions from a Friday April 10 2009 show at Duffs Garage in Portland Oregon. And 101.9FM KINK is still going strong! Alas, the sponsor BridgePort Brewing and their fabulous ales are no longer with us. And Duff's closed in Feb 2019 after a fantastic 15 year run as one of Portland's iconic Blues venues. https://cascadebluesassociation.org/duffs-garage-last-hurrah/ Thanks to @thasantac for teaching us how to use the Internet Time Machine, here is the page with the original Bridge Creek post: https://web.archive.org/web/20170707151745/http://www.icompositions.com/artists/BridgeCreek/ Text copied below. Hope you enjoy a blast from the 2009 past :) Oh - and we also tracked down our pay and number of CDs/T-shirts sold that night - which made me have fond memories but glad to have a day job as well LOL. "Bridge Creek would like to thank Dean K and KINK 101.9FM in Portland Oregon, as well as Duff's Garage, for all their great support of local music. The Local Music Spotlight and Live Performance Lounge are wonderful programs on KINK. Here is the Bridge Creek song Muddy Water, from our new CD available <now on Spotify, YouTube :) >. The recording features icompositions.com drummer James Moore from England, who along with Tony Grant (soundhound) supplied the percussion tracks for the CD. The CD was mastered by Phil Klahn. Thanks - Lisa Albrecht (vocals/guitar), David Weatherby (lead guitar/vocals), Scott Garvey (drums), Alan Crouch (lyrics, music, backing vocals, bass). " Bonus question: what is the next song on KINK that fades out at the end? (I kinda recognize it but don't remember for sure myself :)

Lyrics
Muddy Water (c) 2009, Alan Crouch

Rollin River, Crescent City
Coal Black Water, Mississippi
Fallen Angel, just one taste
Drank the poison, feel from grace

O o o o The Devils Daughter
O o o o Drank Muddy Water

Midnight dances, sacred rites
Secret garden, on a moonlit night
I sipped that poison, and it soaked my skin
I started laughing, at the wind

O o o o The Devils Daughter
O o o o Drank Muddy Water

<bridge, then drum solo>

They tried to save me, they tried too late
At the Crossroads, I sealed my fate
Passion burnin, flambeau hot
Crescent City, that care forgot

O o o o Devils Daughter
O o o o Drinks Muddy Water

O o o o Devils Daughter
O o o o Drank Muddy Water
