Song information
A brand new rocker with a spiritual theme.

I recorded the guitar on my Dean acoustic,
and then "electrified" it in LogicPro.

The bass was knocked out on the keyboards
this time.

Be well my friends

Lyrics
TIME IS NOW

I
There comes a time in everyone's life,
---that great big fork in the road;
---that fateful choice between Eternal Truth,
and every lie that we've ever been told...

Refrain:
We live our lives a-grasping
for this world's crumbs.
---but it all begins to change
when that great awakening comes!

II
The Prince of darkness likes to stir up the dust.
---makes it impossible to see;
---but by and by the Light pierces the clouds
and sets the softened heart free!

Refrain:
We live our lives a-grasping
for this world's crumbs,
---but it all begins to change
when that great awakening comes!

Chorus:
So here you stand,
on the edge of a knife!
---Death on your left...
---Life on your right...
By the Savior's grace
you can turn from the night,
and trade in your blindness
for spiritual sight! (2X)

III
Slavery is our common plight.
We were all bought and sold;
but Jesus' cross brings liberation.
and turns our lead into gold.

Refrain:
We live our lives a-grasping
for this world's crumbs,
---but it all begins to change
when that great awakening comes!

I was sick with a severe head cold for four days.
Bored with the TV. Unable to read. I decided to fool around with music.
Somehow... and don't ask me how... through all the MUCUS this song emerged
relatively unscathed! LOL...
Thanks for the listen and the nice comment Dyl!

Thanks Omar. I tried to get a harmonica player involved as well but in the end decided
that it might clutter up the mix. Glad you enjoyed it my friend!

Thanks Charlie. As for "fun," I don't think I would continue doing this if it
ever ceased to be fun and devolved into mere work. Even though I was rather ill
when I was recording this it was still fun and energizing!

Hey thanks Dav. It took 20 years... as I'm not the quickest study when it comes to all things tech...
but I think I've finally learned how to mix guitar and organ together!

Beautiful music Mike.  Love that your music has lots of space yet there is a lot going on.  Great vocals and lyrics too.

Many thanks Matt! For me---over the years---mixing has been the hardest part of the process.
I think I'm FINALLY getting the hang of it. (Fingers crossed!)

Nice. Great, expressive vocals. BTW, I've also experimented with playing acoustic and electrifying it (on Garageband in my case). It works, as you prove here.

Very good chorus! Question: what's the difference between a Refrain and a Chorus? I thought they were both the same. Refrain was an older term! Nevertheless, this is a bright, attractive, entertaining song!
