Lyrics
Coming Up Rose Pogonias (lyrics and music – Steve Brewer)
Verse 1
Last year, this time, at this place
You couldn’t find a single trace
Of a porch-lit door or a friendly face
Just a junked out car with no license plate.

Chorus 1
Now everything’s coming up rose pogonias
The clouds have moved on to let the sun shine down upon ya.
Everything’s looking up, ain’t no use looking down.
Take another look around and see what can be found.

Verse 2
Last year when you came around,
With not a single friend in town,
You were tethered to a feckless clown,
Guaranteed to let you down.
Chorus 2
Now here you are at my door,
looking for a shoulder
To cry on; I don’t mind at all;
Not gonna say I told ya so
Everything’s looking up; ain’t no use in looking down.
Take another look around and see what can be found.

Verse 3
Last year, this time, at this place
You couldn’t find a single trace
Of a sundew flower or a rose pogonia
Just yaupon holly, overgrown,

Repeat Chorus 1

Real nice 50's rockabilly sound.  It's really well done.

I love it.  Reminds me a Greatful Dead tune but I can't remember which.  Love the double vocals and dual guitars.  Very creative too.
