Lyrics
I woke up with the nuns
Surrounding me
I got blood on my suit
And soup in my boots

In the morning
I prefer some time to myself
Or else I'll come down
Like a cat with a shoe
On its back, oh no

Didn't I say
You should all relocate?
You know I'm no savior
That wasn't me on the
Cross-eyed woman
With her eyelids glued shut
She keeps giving me
A hard time because
She thinks she saw me
Coming back to life

So I go and lock the door
In a little back room
Of this missionary
Ranch house
Or wherever I'm staying

I don't know how I got here
I don't know where I'm going
But I know that I'm tired
Of being framed as a saint
Let's go!

Did I say
The dove would be okay?
Well, when I saw him collapse
Behind the barn
I didn't think his life
Would depend upon me
I'm far from a surgeon
But I'm surrounded
By virgins, oh no

Every night I see
Charlie Parker emerge
Through my window
He's trying to bed me
He's free as a bird
Burdened by nothing
There's nothing stranger
Than a stranger
In the strangest world

So I go and lock the door
To my deluxe apartment
Atop this missionary
Ranch house
Or wherever I'm staying

I don't want to die here
But I'm afraid to leave
I saw blood
On the floorboards
And a used magazine

When I found it
I was careful
I didn't say nothing
To the priest or the nuns
Or to Charlie Parker
Who acts like a pimp
He's trying to seduce me
He's got radios playing
His beautiful music
Throughout the entire
Museum, I mean this
Missionary ranch house
Or wherever I'm staying
I don't know what
I'm saying anymore

Come and join me
We're going on
A magical adventure
I'm gonna cleanse you
Of your filth
You're a sinner
I'm a winner
Let's get dinner

Hallelujah!

This is a cool song with so much to like. Your vocal is solid singing some very interesting lyrics. And the music is fun and well done. The bridge just adds to the enjoyment. Again, so much to like.

Loving the real raw piano. Your voice sounds great in the high register. Enthusiastic and upbeat delivery. 1:36 with the organ panned left is sweet, a nice lift in an already moving track. The swirling underwater wide vocals are cool. Dig the piano outro. So much creative energized sound going on here. I can't say I understand the lyrics, but I like them. Clearly inspired. Enjoyed it man!

This is superb, the lyrics are great and the delivery couldn't be better. It's the sound of some of my favorite bands.

If you dont mind my name-dropping, the 6/8 signature brings some Badly Drawn Boy ('Have You Fed The Fish' era) memories, which is, in my book, not a bad thing at all. Thank you for sharing here those impressive songs and productions. Much enjoyed and appreciated...
