I started a series of songs commenting on US politics more than a decade ago. This is another comment from a distance.
I wrote the music after watching Jacob Banks (RnB artist from the UK) live at a local music festival. The simplicity and power of his set stunned me, and while I don't suggest this could in any way be compared to JB's performance, it certainly inspired me to try something different.
The lyrics were written over a year ago, and describe a situation rather quaintly innocent compared to what I might have written if I were to do this again today.
I played all instruments (midi drums use ModoDrum sound samples), arranged the horn section, and sang all vocals. Recorded, mixed and mastered in my home studio using Logic Pro 12.3
The video is #4 in my "learning how to make music videos with Final Cut Pro" collection, and utilises AI modified (to get some continuity) versions of my own photos.
