This song was originally recorded and written in 2021 but this is a complete remake except for the guitar solo which is from the original. This was an homage to Marlena Shaw's version of "California Soul" which I always thought was a cool track. The la la la part of it was partially influenced by the second half of Pat Metheny's "Third Wind."
