Song information
Me singing unaccompanied. The fact I cannot sing does not mean I will not.
The song "Tomorrow" was written in 1970 by Charles Strouse (music) and Martin Charnin (lyrics). It was initially written for a different project that never materialized. When Charnin and Strouse began working on the musical *Annie*, which is based on the comic strip *Little Orphan Annie*, they repurposed "Tomorrow" for the show.

*Annie* premiered on Broadway in 1977, and "Tomorrow" became one of its most iconic songs. The optimism and hopeful message of the song fit perfectly with the character of Annie, an optimistic orphan looking forward to a brighter future.

Lyrics
The sun will come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinking about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck in a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh

The sun will come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may

Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!

You're always a day away

When I'm stuck in a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh

Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!

You're always
A day
A way!
